SOUTHWEST
PENNSYLVANIA AT CHRISTMAS TIME
Alive for the holidays, time for shopping & gaming
Saturday-Sunday,
Dec 5-6, 2009
$244 per person
$52 single supplement
Earlier in the year you had the opportunity to enjoy many of the
highlights of this area and we’ve expanded this tour to a full weekend to enjoy
the area that both Perry Como and Bobby Vinton called home.
We’ll be starting our tour at a local home of an important family during the
time that this area was western frontier of our country, being located about
halfway between Pittsburgh and Wheeling. We’ll be dining at a local
family-operated restaurant in a setting on their dairy farm . . . and does the
restaurant staff ever know how to “cook up” some of the best food and desserts
you’ve had in a long time. We’ll be visiting the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum,
not only to ride a beautifully-resorted trolley and to see the collection of
trolleys including the “Streetcar Named Desire” but also to enjoy their
once-a-year electric train display that is set up annually for the holidays.
We’ll be enjoying the Meadows Race Track & Casino where you’ll be having some
time for slots action as well as ordering yourself a great “served meal”. (Must
be at least 21 years of age.) If you’d like to stay even longer, the casino
shuttle will take you back to the hotel.
We’ll be visiting the area’s top chocolate shop whose candies are shipped
world-wide to customers. While the candy shop and old-fashioned ice cream parlor
are always a spectacular site, with mirrors, glass chandeliers and red neon
tubing lights, like our other stops the entire shipping area will be festively
decorated for the holidays.
On Sunday morning you’ll have several choices including enjoying a leisurely
breakfast at the hotel, returning to the Meadows Race Track & Casino or visiting
the newly-constructed Tanger Outlets (with its brand names) . . . complete with
discount coupon books. Mid-day we’ll be enjoying the third meal included in this
package, complete with it’s salad and dessert bar. What a great way to get into
the holiday season!
Morning departures from Elyria, No.Olmsted,
Middleburg Hts, Independence, Highland Hts, Bedford Hts. Stops will be
made only at locations with passenger sign-ups. Departure times will be shown on
your itinerary.
